House of Lebanon San Diego is an educational and cultural nonprofit organization. We are an all-volunteer, nonprofit public benefit corporation, independent in spirit and in practice, with no political, religious, or sectarian affiliations.
We are organized under the Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation Law of the State of California and are a proud member of the House of Pacific Relations International Cottages in Balboa Park, where each member organization represents its culture through independent programming and community engagement.
Cultural Programs
House of Lebanon San Diego is a member of the House of Pacific Relations International Cottages in Balboa Park. Our mission is to provide a physical space where we can celebrate, promote, and share Lebanese culture with the broader San Diego community.
Hall of Nations Hosting
Several times each year, House of Lebanon San Diego hosts the Hall of Nations from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM on select Saturdays and Sundays in Balboa Park.
During these events, we present a video program highlighting Lebanon’s history, culture, and natural beauty. Visitors can explore a curated display of historical artifacts, photographs, arts and crafts, books, and cultural materials.
Guests are also invited to enjoy samples of traditional Lebanese pastries and coffee as part of the cultural experience.

Cultural Events
Lawn Program
Each year, House of Lebanon San Diego hosts its annual Lawn Program in Balboa Park. Entertainment is provided by a variety of folk dance groups performing traditional Lebanese dances in regional attire.
In addition to folkloric performances, local Lebanese artists present traditional music, songs, and poetry that reflect Lebanon’s rich cultural heritage.
House of Lebanon San Diego offers a wide selection of traditional Lebanese meza, including hummus, tabouli, spinach pies, kibbeh, falafel, stuffed grape leaves, moussakaa, kafta, and chicken and lamb shawarma. A variety of desserts and beverages are also served, including baklava, sfouf, namoura, Arabic lemonade, and jalab.
Ethnic Food Fair & December Nights
House of Lebanon San Diego participates annually in the Ethnic Food Fair and December Nights festivals in Balboa Park.
During these events, we serve traditional Lebanese cuisine similar to our Lawn Program offerings. We also participate in the cultural entertainment program through music, singing, and traditional Lebanese dance performances.
At December Nights, House of Lebanon San Diego participates in the International Spirits Garden, offering Lebanese beer, arak, and a selection of Lebanese red and white wines.
Future Plans
The Lebanese community in San Diego continues to grow. With the support of our dedicated volunteers, House of Lebanon San Diego remains committed to promoting and sharing Lebanese culture with the broader community.
Our long-term goal is to build a cottage in the International Cottages area of Balboa Park, creating a permanent space to showcase Lebanese heritage, history, and traditions.
We are currently in the early stages of fundraising. For updates, please visit our website:
